All students who are identified by the school as needing additional support or legal paperwork such as EHC Plans identifying areas of need in:
Making/maintaining friendships
Language development
Social communication skills
Play skills
Speech sounds
Attention and Listening
Functional Communication
Emotional Regulation and awareness
How is support implemented?
Collaborative working with teaching staff and support assistants
Training programmes to support language, social skills and communication in the classroom
Small social skills groups (needs dependent)
1:1 individual sessions (needs dependent)
Integrates speech and language skills into the school/classroom curriculum
Combines speech and language therapy targets with school attainment and progress
Provision:
Setting and review of targets
EHCP outcomes support
Assessment/therapy reports (where required)
Act as an additional resource in the classroom
Support and guidance for parents/carers
Support communication environment
Duration: Half day/Full day
